Climate impact delivered with discipline
Carbon removal emerges as an important part of the transition to a net-zero economy. Yet many projects still struggle to meet the standards of transparency, governance, and operational rigor expected in a maturing market.
FLS® was founded to close that gap.
We develop forestry and carbon removal projects built on measurable outcomes, durable carbon storage, and disciplined execution. Our approach combines project governance, local operating capability, and long-term stewardship to create lasting environmental and commercial value.
Our mission is to make carbon removal investable, not by lowering the bar for participation, but by raising the standard of project development.
A market entering institutional maturity
Carbon dioxide removal is accepted as a critical pathway to emissions reductions.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has made clear that reaching net zero will require large-scale carbon removal.
*
Independent assessment puts the requirement at around 8.75 billion metric tons of CO₂ a year by 2050 - close to four times the 2.2 billion removed today - on pathways that limit warming to 1.5°C this century.
**
At the same time, expectations are rising.
Market participants are rightly placing greater emphasis on verifiable outcomes. Claims alone are no longer sufficient; projects should demonstrate how carbon is removed, measured, and monitored over time.
As the market matures, the focus is shifting from ambition to evidence.
Our approach
From promise to proof
By combining operational control, structured governance, and transparent reporting, we develop projects that can carry institutional capital, sustain decades of stewardship, and support claims with evidence.
